Was Bruce Lee murdered because he was a Muslim?

You’re just being silly now. No he was not. Anyways, on to more important matters…

If you are a child of the 1980’s like my good self, then the movie The Karate Kid will mean a lot to you…

Mr Miyagi. Daniel San. Cobra Kai. Wax on. Wax off. Focus. Sand-a floor.

Good times indeed!

A few years ago there was a remake with Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith. This remake, whilst different to the original, is just as good in its own modern way. I saw the remake at the cinema with the wife and kids, and I remember a scene that I thought was rather Islamic in nature. Here is the dialogue from that particular scene:

Mr. Han: Kung Fu lives in everything we do, Xiao Dre! It lives in how we put on the jacket, how we take off the jacket. It lives in how we treat people! Everything…is Kung Fu.

If you read the dialogue again and replace “Kung Fu” with “Islam” then it still makes perfect sense. This is because Islam is indeed in everything a Muslim does, Islam is a complete way of life. It even advises us on how to put on our shoes, all in the hope of becoming a better person, all in the hope of trying to get closer to Allah.

Anyway, here is that particular scene. Enjoy!

  1. Is it true that Bruce Lee’s name is mentioned in the Koran?
Bruce Lee’s Name in the Koran
Bruce Lee Name is mentioned in the Arabic Koran[1], Chapter ‘The Table Spread’ or, Surah Maidah, (the 5th chapter of the Koran, verse 12th).

Walaqad akhzallahu meesaqa bani israila wa be-isna ashra naqeeba waqaala-llaho inni ma aakum le inn aqatum-us-sallawa wa aa ateetum-azakwata wa aa amuntum Biruce li wa azar tumo hum…………

Ironically, Muslims claim that their Prophet Muhammad name has been mentioned in other scriptures; But if someone else’s name mentions in the Koran, so Muslims deny it and are not ready to accept it. The translation of the above verse goes as follows:

    Koran Chapter 5:12:

And Allah had already taken a covenant from the Children of Israel, and We delegated from among them twelve leaders. And Allah said, “I am with you. If you establish prayer and give zakah and believe in My messengers and support them and loan Allah a goodly loan, I will surely remove from you your misdeeds and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow. But whoever of you disbelieves after that has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.”

In this translation, Muslims used the term as messengers instead of Bruce Lee. Because Bruce Lee’s name also can get fixed in this verse as “…Believe in My Bruce Lee…” The term “بِرُسُلِى” is mentioned only one time in the whole Koran which also indicates that Koran foretold about Bruce Lee not the previous messengers.

If Muslims Claim that Muhammad’s name mentioned in the Bible and Hindu scriptures, then they should also admit that Bruce Lee name is mentioned in the Koran as well.
